GOER Diversity, Ethics & Equity (DEE) Accreditation Badge

The GOER DEE Accreditation Badge recognises institutions demonstrating outstanding commitment to fostering inclusive, ethical, and equitable education within online, hybrid, or blended learning environments.

Institutions can achieve the badge through two routes:
Integrated Accreditation – Awarded automatically if the institution achieves a Pioneer level rating in the Diversity, Ethics & Equity standard during full GOER accreditation.
Standalone Accreditation – Institutions may apply independently to have their DEE credentials reviewed and accredited as a separate process (additional fee applies).

To earn the badge, providers must demonstrate excellence in:

  • Diversity & Inclusion – promoting equal representation, inclusive curriculum design, and removing barriers to participation.

  • Ethical Practice – transparent policies, safeguarding, and fair assessment practices.

  • Equity in Access – supporting all learners with equal opportunities and digital access.

  • Community Voice – empowering students, parents, and staff to shape policy and celebrate diversity.

Earning the DEE Badge highlights your commitment to high standards, builds trust with students and families, and positions your institution as a sector leader in online and hybrid education.

GOER Sustainability Agency Action Badge

The GOER Sustainability Agency Action Badge recognises institutions that demonstrate exceptional leadership and measurable impact in sustainability across their educational operations, curriculum, and wider community engagement. It signifies a deep commitment to environmental responsibility, innovation, and long-term positive change within the online and hybrid education sector.

Institutions can earn this badge in two ways:

  1. Through Full Accreditation – If an institution undergoes the GOER standard accreditation process and achieves Pioneer level within the Sustainability & Agency Action Standard, the badge is automatically awarded.

  2. Standalone Badge Accreditation – Institutions may also apply separately for the badge without completing full accreditation. This involves a dedicated assessment process, and a separate accreditation fee applies.

To achieve the badge, institutions must provide evidence-based actions demonstrating real sustainability outcomes, such as:

  • Implementing measurable carbon reduction strategies

  • Embedding sustainability education into teaching and learning

  • Demonstrating innovative green policies and long-term commitments

  • Engaging stakeholders in sustainability projects and reporting transparent progress

Earning this badge positions your institution as a leader in sustainable online education, enhancing your reputation, attracting environmentally conscious learners, and meeting global expectations for responsible practice.

"Earning the GOER badge has significantly boosted our program's credibility. It's a testament to our commitment to excellence and innovation."
